I have created several products with external links.
The download link mail after purchase returns the following error message
Orbisius CyberStore: Invalid download hash (1).
This is the mail link http://jesusclares.es/?orb_cyber_store_dl=aaaaaaaaaa
This is the link that works to create the product http://jesusclares.es/?orb_cyber_store_dl=bbbbbbbbb
    What can be happening?
    Thank you very much.
    A greeting.

I just checked and it seems you’ve found a very old glitch that I haven’t seen.
Just posted a release now (2.0.3). You should be prompted to update.

    Hello.
Thank you very much for your quick response.
I upgraded to v2.0.4 but the error is the same.

    Hi Jesus,

Unfortunately, you will have to manually send the download link to your client (that’s the long hash from Products).
The download links will start working for new transactions.

Please note that the download link was broken only for some the transactions as the cleanup was a randomly triggered.

    Hello Slavi
I tried randomly transactions with the above products with the same error.
Do not know what happens. I have created new products and new transactions test and the result is the same error.
    Thank you very much.
    Regards

    Hi,

Can you make sure that the wp-content/uploads folder is writable by the server ?
    e.g. chmod to 775 or 777

    Hello,

I am having the exact same problem on version 2.0.7 – Orbisius CyberStore: Invalid download hash (1).

    My wp-content/uploads is at 777
and the links are external (i.e. added manually in the advanced options of the product)

I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, but it did work ok initially and then broke at some point :(
It is the same for every transaction (just tested it again and it’s the same)

    Hi,

    Thanks for using our CyberStore.
I checked the code of the plugin and it expects the wp-content and then uploads to be in the same folder as WordPress.
Do you have WordPress installed in a different folder?

We’ll fix that in a one of the future versions.

Hello, thanks for the reply :)

I have one folder for wordpress and all the folders are inside it, so I think that should be ok?

    Hi,

We’ve just pushed an update which fixes some warnings that were shown also if you have this setup

    www/index.php
    www/wp-in-own-dir/wp-content/uploads

CyberStore should be able to find the uploads folder now.

Ok. can try creating wp-content/uploads/orb_cyber_store and set some permissions e.g. 775 and then place a test order.

You know that the downloads expire in 48 hours, right?

If you access the download link after that time you should get expired download link.
Old download hashes are cleared once if they are older than 7 days.

So if you try to download a file 7-8 days after the purchase your clients would get the invalid hash.

I’m going to try that now :-)

I know the downloads expire, but the problem happens seconds after the order – we haven’t launched the store yet but there are people coming in from google and buying things from time to time and they send us an email with that “invalid hash” error minutes after finishing the transaction.

Fingers crossed, let’s hope it works :)

Ok. Let me know how it goes.
It’s really interesting what might be causing this.
